About us

Meeko was founded in 2016. There have been many ups and downs along the way. Difficulties turned into lessons and failures eventually led to successes. Without the changing conditions, we would not have created the Meeko electric scooter, which withstands everyday challenges, is a reliable, environmentally friendly and fun means of transportation.

Our story began when moving around by car, which slows down the crowded streets, searching for parking spaces, and otherwise everyday life, started to take off. At that time, the first electric scooters had entered the market. So we ended up with that new thing, the electric scooter. We wanted speed and flexibility to go. Especially when combining modes of transport, for example, bicycles are less often welcome in llinja cars. Even going to the metro is quite painful on a massive bicycle that requires a lot of turning space.

However, the change brought new challenges. However, we ran into a completely new and unexpected problem at the time: All electric scooters on the market were unstylish, poorly designed and classlessly executed. Secondly, they seemed to be really difficult or even impossible to maintain or maintain.
The idea was and still is: people demand and deserve something better. We founded Meeko out of this need.

Quality is continuous work.

Quality is no small matter, nor should it be.
We want to be a responsible company and that's why we make sure that our electric scooters stay on the road and don't end up being a problem for you and eventually filling a landfill. Another thing about quality that is rarely brought up is the fast cycle of economic dirt. We got too used to throwing away the used shirt a couple of times and replacing it with a new one. Nature is overloaded, the best way to reduce the load is by valuing quality and durability, Our honor does not give up to do something in that direction, we promise continuity. In many contexts, we use #builtolast, #tehtykestämää. This probably doesn't require more openings than that.

Our current City and Pro models are the result of years of product development, thousands of tested kilometers and listening to customer opinions and feedback. In the early years of Meeko, it was a big challenge for us to build a sufficiently strong folding part for the electric scooter. After finally developing a new, better electric scooter, we withdrew all our old models from the market and replaced them with the new 2.0 parts free of charge. Not because the old parts weren't fully functional, but because we had created something better.

Responsible and sustainable development.

In the age of climate change, we strive to reduce our environmental impact, environmental pressure. Everyone can have their own opinion on this, but it goes without saying that it's not worth wasting for nothing if there is an opportunity to do something different with a small investment.
With the help of competent and well-managed production and the extended life cycle of electric scooters, we want to offer our customers a top-class electric scooter in terms of features and quality.

Even though we at Meeko have a top team, we would be nothing without our partners and community. We appreciate and thank people who participate and share their expertise with us. We respect our community and value and strive to nurture the environment and nature. We regularly participate in free projects, building and developing Yhetihyvä.

In 2018, we worked together with Aalto University's Industrial Design master's program to produce innovative and easily accessible, environmentally friendly vehicles.

We are also a long-term partner in the World Rally Championship organized by AKK.

Meeko works as a means of movement for the use of the pit staff, for the distribution of prizes and as a general passing game at public events. Our electric scooter was used in the Neste Rally and World Karting competitions during the construction and dismantling phases of the events, as well as in very intensive daily use in the three-day events.
